This is a beautifully colored Nephrite Jade crystal skull. Interesting patterns in several shades of green plus some accents of black, and cream. This one has a lovely smooth feel - physically and energetically! Nephrite Jade is the original "stone of heaven", revered by the Chinese for thousands of years. "Nephrite Jade" is a term that refers to a variety of Jade made up of shades of green mixed with brown or black streaks. (Although it CAN be other colors, this is the most well known variety and what most people probably think of when you say "Jade".) Some areas of the stone may have a translucent quality that appears when you hold it up to a bright light source (a common characteristic of Nephrite Jade). It takes a beautiful glossy polish!
