This is a high quality Chrysanthemum Stone palm stone. The intricate patterns in Chrysanthemum Stone make it a favorite for use as a meditation stone, as well. Examining the intricate patterns, with your fingers as well as your eyes if you like, can be a very relaxing exercise. Sometimes Picture Rock Jasper is mistakenly labeled as Chrysanthemum Stone. This piece is 100% Chrysanthemum Stone. It has subtle shimmery areas here and there in the grey "flower" formations, and a more matte finish vs. glossy. It also has at least one strip of VUGS! Vugs are natural formations, sometimes also known as "crystal cave inclusions", and considered highly collectible.
There are some tiny organic spots from inclusions that were close to the surface as the stone was polished. You can feel some of the formations and 'petals' as you run your fingers over the stone.
