This is an unusual BLOODSTONE crystal skull. It has been here charging with Synergy for 8+ years now. Sometimes also known as Heliotrope or St. Stephen's Stone. The dark green background is accented with complex patterns and shades of lighter green, grey, golden yellow/orange, and the tiny red speckles that give it its name. Bloodstone is an opaque green form of Chalcedony. I really like the patterns in this one - very interesting.
It has a few tiny organic spots here and there from inclusions that were close to the surface as the stone was polished. This particular skull was carved with a slightly indented jawline on the left side as the carver worked with the natural formations in the stone. ALL inclusions present come from 100% natural formations in the stone. Check out how it works with subtle energies below!
It weighs about 1.5oz and measures approximately 39mm (1 9/16" inches) long X 26mm (1" inch) tall. Code-031524-21644
Bloodstone aka Heliotrope or St. Stephen's Stone. Bloodstone is a deep green stone with small red specks. These red specks are what gives the stone its name.
Bloodstone has long been called a "Stone of Courage."
It is often used for emotional healing, cleansing, and renewal - especially the renewal of all kinds of relationships. It is thought to bring good fortune to the holder.
In stressful situations, bloodstone is said to be very calming. It is also used to aid in working through grief and traumas. People have often kept bloodstone in any area thought to need a continuous cleansing of the energy as it is said to ease energy flows.
Bloodstone is excellent for balance and grounding and has been used to bring energy to the user. Some believe it is useful in legal issues, probably because it is believed to help release blocks and support decision making.
It is strongly associated with the heart Chakra first and also the root, sacral (2nd) and Solar Plexus (3rd) Chakras.
In Crystal Healing, Bloodstone is used in numerous ways. It is often given to chemotherapy patients, people with high blood pressure, and problems of the circulatory and cardiovascular systems, the endocrine system, kidney and bladder. It has also traditionally been given to people after surgery and after any kind of trauma.
Native legends speak of crystal skulls as an inheritance from ancient times. Said to “talk and sing” they are believed to carry messages for all mankind, including what may be discovered when we overcome our fear of death.
