This is a super cool "Metamorphosis Crystal Skull" with fantastic purple cubic Fluorite crystal formations throughout a Limestone base. The carved skull face and jaw give way to intricate organic formations that have been left natural rather than polished down. I LOVE THESE!
Stunning vugs are present throughout the top of the head, lined with beautiful cubic FLUORITE crystals in shades of purple. Smaller vugs with lighter colored crystals are scattered throughout - like in/around the upper lip area and bridge of the nose! Vugs are natural formations, also known as "crystal cave inclusions", and considered highly collectible. The darker areas have a subtle sparkly quality that shows up in bright ight as you move the skull around. A variety of physical textures are present.
Due to the way this one was carved, and the rock and mineral composition, it's natural for small pieces of matrix to shed or flake. These pieces were intentionally left with natural areas, and so organic spots/inclusions are present all over. I personally feel that these kinds of natural inclusions are special and love them! ALL inclusions present come from 100% natural formations.
