This is an lovely carved AGATE GEODE crescent MOON with a large Druzy lined VUG in one side. Several small brown Dendritic inclusions are present in the top (if the moon is facing right / waning crescent). They may resemble plant-life at first glance, but are actually made up of Iron in this case. The soft, almost luminous, coloring in this one is very apt for a moon carving. Subtle banding patterns are present throughout.
Including the vug, there are small natural organic formations throughout. ALL formations are 100% natural parts of the crystal.
It weighs about 7.3oz (so just under half a pound) and measures approximately 4 7/8" inches tall by about 3 3/4" inches across the widest point. Code-041025-3874
All forms of Agate are felt to be potentially powerful stones.
They are said to impart courage and increase energy levels in bursts, and so may be used when a big ‘push’ is needed.
Agate is used to enhance creativity and stimulate the intellect, and has been favored by students and artists.
It is considered a stone that brings good luck and is very calming and soothing. Agate may bring increased feelings of self-confidence and lessen feelings of envy, by grounding the energy and the emotions.
Agates are felt to support one’s love of, and harmony with, Nature.
Agates are the most well known stones for balancing the subtle energies and to assist with protection, (especially of children.)
Agate in general is a stone of inner harmony. It's thought that when you bring yourself into a place of inner harmony, the result can be an enhanced ability to heal oneself.
Dendritic inclusions combine the many useful qualities of the base stone with Manganese (black) and/or Iron (brown), which is the actual mineral content of the "plant life"-like inclusions.
It facilitates a harmonious relationship with Mother Earth, and a deeper connection with nature, including the Nature Spirits.
It is also used for facilitating Past Life recall and processing how to integrate and grow from knowledge gleaned from those lives.
In Crystal Healing, it has often been used for bruises, circulation, digestion, sprains, and strains.
It is associated with the Third Eye.
Native legends speak of crystal skulls as an inheritance from ancient times. Said to “talk and sing” they are believed to carry messages for all mankind, including what may be discovered when we overcome our fear of death.
