This is a BIG Obsidian BULL totem. It has been here charging with Synergy for 5+ years. Shown next to a standard 355ml/12oz soda can for size comparison. The stone itself is a lovely glossy black, with a few subtle patterns/variations throughout. Although it is mainly Black Obsidian, there is a subtle spot/"eye" of Rainbow Obsidian in the right flank that has a violet sheen to it. Traditionally, the Bull is associated with the astrological sign of Taurus! Carved from a SINGLE piece of stone and highly detailed.
The best quality obsidian often forms beneath the Earth's surface, around volcanic vents. Silica-rich magma squeezes into rock fractures or fissures to form layers and lenses of Obsidian that are relatively free of dirt, ash and other impurities that are commonly found around volcanoes. Sometimes, little air bubbles or faint ash deposits are left behind when the Obsidian cools, leaving small organic spots behind if they are close to the surface as the stone is polished. They can resemble pinpricks, fine lines, scuffs, or notches and you may be able to feel them subtly as you run a finger over them.

As a totem animal, the Bull represents strength, stability, boldness, and courage. Bull is a hard worker, and very dependable. It reminds us not to get too focused and stubborn, however. Remember the tale of Ferdinand and stop and smell the flowers, too! Long seen as a symbol of abundance and fertility, the Bull connects us with the masculine energies of the Universe. It is associated with the astrological sign of Taurus.
