This is a strange and beautiful Chalcedony flower or "rosette" formation. The stone itself is from Madagascar, which brings us some of the most energetic stones in the world! Shown next to a US quarter coin for size comparison. The formations in this one are really just so fascinating - front and back! The front face has tiny botryoidal/round nodules that show up more, or less, from different angles. The back is full of cool nooks and crannies. Hard to accurately photograph. Much nicer 'in person'!
