This is a carved Pink Orange Calcite UNICORN totem. I haven't had any new Pink Orange Calcite pieces in a while, and was thrilled to get a handful this year. This is a naturally occurring Calcite that has a very interesting color that combines shades of both Pink and Orange. It picks up different tones depending on the lighting (natural vs. fluorescent), and background it is against (light vs. dark). ALL inclusions present come from 100% natural formations in the stone.

As a totem animal, the Unicorn represents purity and innocence. It is said that the Unicorn gives us the ability to make our dreams come true, and helps to restore broken spirits on an emotional level. The Unicorn also has connections to the Spirits of the Forests, and the Fairy Folk.

Pink Calcite AKA Manganoan Calcite, Pink Mangano Calcite, or Pink Magnesium Calcite is thought to be a stone of love and to amplify the life force energies, including Reiki energy, as well as other healing energies.
Specimens can have varying shades of pink present – from quite pale, to bright. Depending on the amount of Manganese present in a specimen, it may fluoresce a brilliant deep pink/red when placed under a UV light.
