This is a beautiful Chrysanthemum Stone standing stone / viewing stone with wooden stand. Shown next to a standard 12oz/355ml soda can coin for size comparison. I LOVE Chrysanthemum Stone! This is an old stock piece, from about the 1980's. As was the standard at that time (and sometimes still is today) the stone itself, which is soft, has been sealed with a clear coat and is glued into the base - so all one piece. Sometimes the bases will come loose eventually with age, but the cutout is for this particular stone and if this occurs they usually still stay seated nicely
Chrysanthemum Stone is known for having patterns that resemble leaves or flowers. It generally consists of a black Limestone with organic looking grey/white marbling throughout that's composed of Calcite, Chalcedony, and Chert. Sometimes small traces of Dolomite are also present. It is quite soft and as such the blossom formations are often given a thin layer of clear coat to preserve and strengthen them.
Picture Rock Jasper is sometimes mistakenly sold as Chrysanthemum Stone, and others have painted on patterns - rest assured this is genuine Chrysanthemum Stone, with 100% natural formations in the "blossom".
ALL inclusions present are 100% natural parts of the stone. Much nicer in person than the photos can show, I guarantee it! Check out how it works with subtle energy below.
It weighs about 15.8oz (so just barely under 1lb) and measures approx. 5 1/4" inches tall with the stand X 3 3/8" inches wide at the widest point of the stone itself X about 1 5/16" inches thick at the thickest point of the stone itself (varies a bit throughout). Code-121422-14

Native legends speak of crystal skulls as an inheritance from ancient times. Said to “talk and sing” they are believed to carry messages for all mankind, including what may be discovered when we overcome our fear of death.
