This is a life size SMOKY QUARTZ crystal skull. Shown next to a 12oz/355ml soda can for size comparison. Approximately the size of a human teenager. The nostrils are drilled all the way through the stone (and come out in the underside of the skull). This was done intentionally, so that you can use circular breathing exercises/techniques to connect with/work with this skull.
It has several shades of smoky coloring throughout, and a LOT of intricate inclusions/patterns inside. Including a large "plane" with dark red and reddish orange Hematite + cream and dark grey-green Chlorite running through the back of the head. There is a pretty shimmery quality all over that catches the light as you move the stone around in your hands, as well as small shimmery areas and hints of rainbow sheen beneath the surface in some places.
It weighs about 9lbs 14.8oz (so just under 10lbs) / 4.5kgs and measures about 8 1/4" inches long by 4 3/4" inches wide at the widest point by about 5 7/8" inches tall. Code020623-20699
There are some small organic spots here and there from inclusions that were close to the surface as the carver polished the stone. They can resemble pinpricks, small indents, small notches, or thin linear indents on the surface. ALL inclusions present in this stone come from 100% natural formations in the crystal. Smoky (Smokey) Quartz is used to dissolve negative energies and open blocks in the Solar Plexus, hands, and feet Chakras. It is a protective, grounding and stabilizing stone, used to calm and center.
Smoky Quartz is used as a mood elevator to lift depression as well as remove negative energy to make one relax and think positively. It works gently & consistently, not quickly.
