This is a lifesize Reconstituted Amber Crystal Skull with Celtic Knot animals, and Celtic Knot Finger Labyrinths! It has been here charging with Synergy for 4+ years now. The trade name for this particular process is "Tibetan Amber". THIS IS NOT FOSSILIZED AMBER. "Reconstituted" means that this skull is made from genuine Amber chips or small pieces which have been fused together using heat and high pressure. It is also sometimes called "Reconstructed Amber". The reason for this process is that it is difficult to find larger individual pieces of Amber, and when you do find them they are incredibly expensive. This Reconstituted Amber is much less expensive, but carries the same metaphysical properties as "normal" Amber because it contains pieces of Amber. Any additional "filler" used in this material is a natural substance called copal resin, which is also gold colored and comes from trees. Copal resin is sometimes called 'young amber.' It is found near old growth copal trees, 1-2 meters below the surface, and what my carver uses is from Africa or Madagascar. The specific process for this "Tibetan Amber" also adds an amount of metal dust - most often Copper. Personally, I find it beautiful and enjoy the energy!
It has a rich coloring with interesting swirls and patterns all throughout, but also has embossed designs all over! Each design was hand carved and then smoothed with acetone (which is the easiest way to maintain definition in this material). The exact patterns, and depth of the designs, varies a bit all over. There are several kinds of Celtic knot animals, which are as follows:
Base of skull on either side - hounds
Top of head - stags
Eye sockets - deer/does
Back of head - dragons, with flames in each side of the dragon knot
The chin also has a Fleur de Lis.
It weighs approximately 3lbs 5.2oz (light for the size because of the material) and measures about 6 7/8" inches long X 5" inches wide at the widest point x 5 1/2" inches tall. Code-111324-22176
Each side of the head has an intricate stylized Celtic round knot Finger Labyrinth, too. These are interlaced knots that have no clear beginning or end, which is why they are sometimes called "endless knots". The Finger Labyrinth is a sort of meditation, and tool for mindfulness. Labyrinths of various kinds have been used throughout history as a meditative tool, symbolizing a journey to one's own center, and then a return trip back into the world. The Finger Labyrinth is not walked, but rather traced with one's fingers (hence the name!) and is an exercise which can be done by people of all ages! The "trip" through is supposed to help us re-enter our daily lives with more peace, calm, mindfulness, and clarity.
I’ve picked these skulls carefully, as I do with all stones and skulls that I offer. I have experimented with it to see if it will hold the Synergy energy and I can confirm that this material does absorb and hold energy, and will also transmit it. However it is not like say, a natural quartz point or cluster. It absorbs and releases the energy much more slowly and is not as intense or as focused, overall. This material can be very worthwhile, depending on what you want to use it for. Say you have a client or situation where you do not want them to receive a great jolt of energy, rather a more prolonged and slow transfer would be more beneficial. Reconstituted Amber is excellent for inner child work and past life work. Amber is a soothing stone that is both calming, yet energizing. It is said to bring clarity of thought and wisdom.
