This is a life size Agate GEODE crystal skull. Shown next to standard sized 12oz/355ml soda can for size comparison. This is approximately the size of a human teenager or small adult. It weighs approx. 8lbs 15oz (so just under 9lbs).
Truly one of a kind, and incredibly energetic! Inclusions of dark blue-grey Agate are mixed with a very high Quartz content that is SUPER sparkly. Some of the Agate has very nice banding/stripes, as well as interesting "eye" or spotted patterns. A variety of VUGS are present throughout, including a BIG crystal lined one in the underside of the head, little Druzy lined ones in/around the underside of the head, and back of the head, while there is a cluster in/around a fine lattice-like area in the top of the head from significantly softer Calcite inclusions growing into the stone, then dissolving later. Vugs are natural formations, sometimes also known as "crystal cave inclusions", and are considered highly collectible. Reddish orange HEMATITE areas are visible here and there. A small pink-ish purple-ish area of AMETHYST is in/around the "wing' of the left cheekbone as well (with a small vug below it!).
The level of detail throughout is just beautiful. Each time you look at this one, you'll find a new and cool formation to focus on. One of a kind and super energetic! Much nicer in person than any photo could ever show - I guarantee it.
Besides the vug, it may have a few small organic spots that were close to the surface as the stone was polished. ALL inclusions present in this piece come from 100% natural formations in the stone.
