This is a carved Snowflake Obsidian Jaguar totem. The stone itself is deep black, with lots of little gray spots throughout. Nice simple, clean lines.
There are a few tiny organic spots here and there from inclusions (bubbles, or the edges of "lenses" in the Obsidian) that were close to the surface as the stone was polished. ALL inclusions present are 100% natural parts of the stone. Check out how it works with subtle energies below!
It weighs about 0.8oz and measures approx. 7/8" inch tall X just over 1 7/8" inches long (tail to nose). Code072123-3744
As a totem animal, the Jaguar teaches us to pace ourselves, and not push too hard. The Jaguar's strength is drawn from the lunar cycle, and the night, and it shares this wisdom with us. Jaguar totems provide guides - human or otherwise - to help us on our paths in life. Mentors, teachers, or friends, all can be found with the help of the Jaguar.
Snowflake Obsidian is called the “Stone of Clarity” and is also seen as a “Stone of Purity.”
It is the most common stone used to support clarity of thought.
It is often used as an aid in recognizing old habits and patterns in one's life and releasing or changing them to something more useful and beneficial.
As a stone supporting clarity, it is said to bring hidden things to the surface. These hidden things could be perceived as positive or negative, depending on the person and circumstances, but the nice thing about snowflake obsidian is that this necessary process is done gently.
It is a common stone used to shield against negativity and give protection from emotional and even physical harm.
It is also a stone used for grounding and to surrender to a meditative state, going deeper.
In Crystal Healing, it is used for issues with veins, bones, and for attaining and keeping smooth skin.
It is associated with the Root Chakra.
Native legends speak of crystal skulls as an inheritance from ancient times. Said to “talk and sing” they are believed to carry messages for all mankind, including what may be discovered when we overcome our fear of death.
