This is a beautifully vibrant Petrified Wood Crystal Skull. Shown next to a US quarter coin for size comparison. It has some lovely banding/wood grain, and a palette of reds, pinks, creams, and greys. Sizable Agate veins are present here and there throughout, including in/around the face.
Petrified Wood is not commonly used to carve Crystal Skulls, and so I was thrilled when I discovered this one! When becoming petrified or fossilized, various cells of the original plant material are replaced with minerals of various kinds, creating strange colors and patterns. If during the process it is disturbed by earthquakes or other geological activity, some unusual patterns can emerge! It has a nice calm energy to it and is just a pleasure to interact with.
There are a few tiny organic spots from inclusions that were close to the surface as the stone. ALL inclusions present are 100% natural parts of the stone. Much nicer 'in person' than the photo can show! I guarantee it! Check out how it works with subtle energies below.
