This is a unique and unusual Mongolian Quartz Shaman's Window Quartz Crystal SKULL. Shown next to a standard 12oz/355ml soda can for size comparison. A Shaman's Window stone is a piece of Quartz crystal with unusual organic looking inclusions inside that form a sort of screen which can be used as a focus for scrying or gazing. Usually these inclusions are Chlorite and/or Hematite. (Not to be confused with a "Time Window"! They are 2 separate types of stones, with very different properties.)
VERY energetic. This is actual Mongolian Quartz, and the largest I have available. It has a LOT going on! Various shades of darker reddish brown and golden orange Hematite are spread throughout, plus darker green CHLORITE right in the top of the head. Shimmery areas and hints of rainbow sheen catch the light as you move the stone around in your hands. Shallow VUGS are present here and there - some more linear, some free-form. Including an area in the back of the head, left side, where another crystal was growing next to this larger piece and left the vug + a thin coating of Chlorite behind. Vugs are natural formations, sometimes also known as "crystal cave inclusions", and considered highly collectible.

This is a natural crystal with organic inclusions/formations throughout. Some of which are close to the surface. There are small organic spots throughout, mainly resembling pinpricks, small indents, or fine lines on the surface of the stone. ALL inclusions present come from 100% natural formations in the stone. This focal point can be used for scrying or crystal gazing. They can be useful in scrying for past life information.
The inclusions are usually
Chlorite: green, cream or tan/gold;
Kaolinite: white, cream, tan, grey, yellow, or light orange.
Hematite: grays, silvers, blacks, browns, reds, oranges or golds;
Rainbows formed from refraction and inclusions;
Phantoms that have formed in layers;
They may also contain rutiles and, rarely, tourmaline needles.
Without slicing or crushing the crystal and then testing the minerals, it's impossible to know for sure what the inclusions are that form the 'scenes' inside the crystals. For example, white, gold and orange inclusions can be Kaolinite or Chlorite or Hematite.

Any way you spell it, Lodelite is a strangely unappealing name for something potentially very beautiful, since the literal translation means "mud stone" or "sludge" stone - from Spanish lodo = mud, sludge. Lodolite is NOT a type a quartz: it is a trade name.
In the last year or so, there has been a rash of brightly colored "garden quartz" sold that is not natural. It appears that the same kind of high pressure dying is used to treat a less colorful piece of quartz.
