This is a life-size Himalayan Smoky Quartz Crystal Skull! Approximately the size of a human toddler. Shown next to a 355ml/12oz soda can for size comparison. It weighs about 4lbs 8.3oz! The stone itself is Himalayan, from the Himalaya Mountains near the Nepal/Tibet border, and very energetic. Himalayan Quartz is also some of the most energetic in the world because of the seismic activity in the mountain range, and how those mountains were created over 40 million years ago. (Scientists have found that the range formed from the collision of two major tectonic plates - the Indian Plate and Eurasian Plate.) The nostrils are drilled all the way through the stone (and come out in the underside of the skull). This was done intentionally, so that you can use circular breathing exercises/techniques to connect with/work with this skull.

It has a medium Smoky coloring with a variety of interesting and complex patterns/inclusions throughout. Including multi-colored HEMATITE inclusions, particularly around the right cheekbone. Colors include black, dark reddish brown, and reddish orange. Small shimmery areas and rainbows catch the light as you move the stone around in your hands. It's a very happy crystalline being!

There are some small organic spots that come from inclusions or the edges of inclusions that were close to the surface as the stone was polished. ALL inclusions present come form 100% natural formations in the crystal. I inspect each crystal very carefully before photographing it, and always pick by energy first. All of our Himalayan Quartz skulls have small organic spots on the surface from inclusions that were close to the surface as the stone was shaped and polished. They can resemble pinpricks / tiny indents, fine lines, or shallow notches. These do not affect the energy or, I think, the overall look. Some people do not appreciate natural inclusions. I think it adds to the overall effect to have the natural inclusions in place. It takes a skilled carver to work with and honor the natural the crystal and not break the inner energy matrix. (But that is a personal preference!)

Rainbows in Crystals aka Rainbow crystals. These are said to be able to manifest some of the purest energies on the physical plane and assist in raising one's spiritual vibrations. It is thought that they may assist one in moving through negativity.
They have long been thought to be very helpful in achieving Lucid Dreaming, and are also used in other types of dream work, as they are said to bring about spiritual understanding and clarity to dreams.
They are also used to help manifest, and become aware of, the true meaning of one's "waking dreams."

Smoky Quartz is used as a mood elevator to lift depression as well as remove negative energy to make one relax and think positively. It works gently & consistently, not quickly.

Smoky quartz is associated with the Root Chakra.
