This is a life-size Himalayan Quartz Crystal Skull! Approximately the size of a human teenager or adult. Shown next to a 355ml/12oz soda can for size comparison. It weighs about 10lbs 1.7oz/4.585kgs. The stone itself is Himalayan, from the Himalaya Mountains near the Nepal/Tibet border, and very energetic. Himalayan Quartz is also some of the most energetic in the world because of the seismic activity in the mountain range, and how those mountains were created over 40 million years ago. (Scientists have found that the range formed from the collision of two major tectonic plates - the Indian Plate and Eurasian Plate.) The nostrils are drilled all the way through the stone (and come out in the underside of the skull). This was done intentionally, so that you can use circular breathing exercises/techniques to connect with/work with this skull.
It has intricate patterns/inclusions and is VERY energetic. I especially like the variety of the HEMATITE inclusions in this one. There are bright yellow Golden Healer areas, bright red, black, dark reddish brown, and some very cool tiny black speckles running across the left side of the head, diagonally through the face along the edge of an internal "plane" formation. The other side of this begins in the back of the jawline on the right side, running through the underside of the skull. There is a thin linear indent around parts of it in the jaw - this is a natural seam/formation in the crystal. Shimmery areas and rainbows are scattered all throughout and appear as you move the stone around in your hands. A small area of epoxy is present in the crease of the "wing" of the cheekbone on the left side of the head, and the price has been discounted accordingly.

I inspect each crystal very carefully before photographing it, and always pick by energy first. All of our Himalayan Quartz skulls have small organic spots on the surface from inclusions that were close to the surface as the stone was shaped and polished. They can resemble pinpricks / tiny indents, fine lines, or shallow notches. These do not affect the energy or, I think, the overall look. Some people do not appreciate natural inclusions. I think it adds to the overall effect to have the natural inclusions in place. It takes a skilled carver to work with and honor the natural the crystal and not break the inner energy matrix. (But that is a personal preference!)
