This is a larger Carnelian Crystal Skull. Shown next to a US quarter coin for size comparison.
It has some fantastic banding/striping and a super cool "starburst" pattern in the top of the head. Several VUGS are present throughout, including a linear one lined with Druzy crystals that runs down the forehead and into the side of the nose, another Druzy lined vug inside of the left eye socket, and a larger area with darker coloring and a dimpled texture that is in/around the right side of the head/cheekbone. Vugs are natural formations, sometimes also known as "crystal cave inclusions", and considered highly collectible.
There are a few tiny organic spots here and there from inclusions that were close to the surface as the stone was polished. ALL inclusions present in this piece come from 100% natural formations in the stone. A special addition to any collection! I love this one!! Much nicer 'in person' than the photos can show!
